Wingfield Green is situated close to the Suffolk/Norfolk boundary. It is a natural common with forty acres of open land offering peaceful walks and wildlife. Wingfield has Suffolk's only inhabited castle. The village of Stradbroke is only two and a half miles away with all the local amenities including a public swimming pool. Every Friday, the town of Diss has a street market and the local auction house, Gazes, has antiques and collectable sales. Other nearby places to visit include Bressingham Steam Museum, Framlingham Castle and the coastal towns of Southwold, Aldebugh and Great Yarmouth, together with Beccles, a riverside market town, and historical Bungay with its interesting antique shops.
