Beside the cottages, a footpath leads across farmland to Blythburgh and Southwold, an elegant seaside resort. Close by are sandy beaches, RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Heath (N.T.), whilst Aldeburgh is a little further. Working mills, castles, a wildlife park and Sutton Hoo are easily accessible.
