We home around 500 cats and around 200 dogs each year.I would say around 15% of dogs and about the same for cats end up with us because they cannot keep pets at their property. Although this is not the main reason for pets being in rescue centres, it is still one that keeps haunting us. Good luck with your idea.

What a great idea. We are always getting phone calls from pet owners asking if we know of anywhere they can find a pet friendly landlord and until now we have not been able to help them. This site will hopefully help prevent many animals ending up in rescue centres because owners can't find anywhere to rent with their pet.

Excellent idea! Thank you for thinking about this very important aspect. I'm going to move to London with my lovely dog, and already now I sense some troubles about this decision. It is really difficult to move from one country to another even without a dog. what then with it! we need accommodation where we can live with our dog . we live with our dog and of course it is a part of family. when moving to london, no doubt we need to go together. our dog - like many others - is absolutly socialised with other dogs and people-loving companion accustomed to live in a flat with excellent hygiene manners. I believe there are many like us.
